Prof. Rosa Domínguez

Gesang (Hochschule SCB)

Rosa Domíngez, a native of Argentina, began her training at the Muziekacademie in Antwerp, Belgium. From 1981 she studied composition in Buenos Aries, and from 1984 voice with Susana Naidich. In 1987 she was able to continue her studies with Ernst Haefliger, and participated in the first productions of the Centro Experimental de Ópera y Ballet del Teatro Colón under Gerald Gandini. In 1990 she came to Switzerland, where she studied early music with René Jacobs at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.

Since then, Rosa Domíngez has dedicated herself to early music from the Renaissance to Rossini, whereby the Italian repertoire of the seventeenth century is particularly close to her heart. Numerous CD recordings, engagements at various opera houses, and collaborations with renowned representatives of the early music scene testify to her diverse activities. Since 2003 she has taught a voice studio at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.
